The Office of General Services (OGS) and New York Power Authority (NYPA) will be installing a new emergency power system and generator with state-of-the-art emissions control technology at the former Albany New York Solid Waste Energy Recovery System (ANSWERS) plant on Sheridan Avenue in Albany.
The Empire State Plaza Emergency Power System and Generator improvement project is a multiple-phase project. Construction is expected to take approximately two years. It is anticipated that the new system will be fully operational in 2024. The project teams are looking to hire for jobs associated with the project, such as Runner/Assistant, Electrician, Project Manager, Estimator, and Warehouse Worker/Delivery Driver.
